Pud Housing

A Safe Place for People to Learn and Live

The objective was to build a premier living environment consisting of a multi-building campus, which provides for the needs of the residents. This community is called a Planned Unit Development (PUD). This facility provides housing for nearly 500 students.
Housing for 100 orphaned children consists of 12-ranch style, single family “cluster of homes”. The homes house up to 8 children in each and 2 house parents which can be assisted in day to day chores by a local resident or “Auntie”. The children living in these homes are orphaned without parents or extended family. The same campus also has a library, medical clinic, a complete school, and five sustainable vocational projects. The vocational projects are designed to also work in concert with the agricultural projects of dairy products, teak, poultry and crop production.
